As seniors, we've seen a lot during our time here at William and Mary. The College has been through a number of storms and difficulties, but it still stands, posed to release yet another class of graduates in a few short weeks. The end of the academic year calls for a look back on these highs and lows, with the hope that our reflections might be imparted to rising undergraduates. (4) comments

When the newly inaugurated Student Assembly officials stood to sing the Alma Mater to close their inauguration ceremony, it was the first time I had heard the chorus since the close of the Harvard National Model United Nations. Throughout the ceremony, the proceedings reminded me of such closing ceremonies: rich in mutual self-affirmation and pomp and circumstance. (0) comments

On Saturday April 11, the College of William and Mary hosted its first conservative rally since 2003. It has been a while since the College has welcomed conservatives or that conservatives have been angry enough to demonstrate. What has gotten them fired up? Well, taxes and government spending. Yes, folks, its time for a tea party! No, not the one with your little sister, but the Revolutionary kind, where American patriots board boats and throw British tea into the harbor to protest unfair taxes. Imagine my excitement when I heard that William and Mary was hosting its own Tea Party. (0) comments

A little over a year ago W. Taylor Reveley III took over as President of the College on an interim basis. Since he assumed the full presidency last September, we believe that President Reveley has been successful in overseeing some much needed healing in the campus community and served as an effective leader for the College.
